DEFYING GRAVITY WITH A WICKED CAMPAIGN!

When We Say Wicked, You Say: Defying Gravity, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, The Wizard of Oz. How do we know? Because for this movie’s release, we became one with the audience.

From the very start, our goal was clear: to turn Wicked into an unmissable pop-culture event. And judging by the numbers, the audience response, and even Oscars buzz, it’s safe to say: mission accomplished.

DANCING THROUGH LIFE AND SOCIAL MEDIA!

Creating a cultural imperative started with one essential step: making sure people knew about Wicked and felt its magic. Awareness was our foundation, and we brought it to life with a multi-platform social campaign including Meta and TikTok. During the awareness phase we focused on the plot and characters in a views campaign. To keep the momentum going, we launched an after-movie campaign that brought a more personal and localized feel to the movie experience. After the release date, we introduced Snapchat to the mix to extend the feeling that Wicked is everywhere.  Here we focused on traffic to actually drive viewers to the cinema as well.

This phased approach paid off with impressive metrics: strong View-Through Rates, Click-Through Rates, and Engagement Rates.

POPULAR, WICKED IS GONNA BE POPULAR!

Throughout the campaign, social listening was a cornerstone of our strategy. It wasn’t just about tracking performance. It was about understanding the conversation in real time.

TikTok became our goldmine for audience sentiment. Monitoring the #Wicked hashtag showed us what people loved most, what resonated, and even what content fans were creating around the movie. That’s also how we were able to see a spike in popularity around the release date, giving interesting insights for the future!

WHAT IS THIS FEELING? IT’S THE FEELING OF A GREAT CAMPAIGN!

From the first trailer to the final audience cheer, Wicked was a success story. It wasn’t just about selling tickets; it was about giving audiences a story to sing and to make them invested in what’s still to come…

Wicked didn’t just defy gravity—it redefined it. The magic lives on.
